One step, every morning

What the first year actually looks like

Written as a sequence because the changes arrive in one — the fast ones first, the slow ones last.

  1. Day 1

Skin has something to work with

    • Absorbs in seconds, no tack left behind
    • Skin feels cushioned rather than tight
    • A faint lift in brightness by afternoon
  2. Day 4

    The surface settles down

    • Rough patches soften under fingertips
    • Less flushing after cleansing
    • Make-up starts sitting more evenly
  3. Week 2

    Tone starts to pull together

    • Edges of older marks look less defined
    • Dry season no longer means flaking
    • Skin catches light more evenly
  4. Month 2

Other people notice before you do

    • Fewer spots to cover in the morning
    • Skin holds hydration through the day
    • Photos stop needing a filter to look right
  5. Month 4

    Smoothness becomes the baseline

    • Fine lines read softer in hard light
    • Tone stays put through a bad week
    • Bare-faced days stop being a decision
  6. Month 9+

    Maintenance, not a project

    • New marks appear more slowly
    • Seasonal swings flatten out
    • The routine costs you 15 seconds a day

88%Even tone
Graders scored tone as more uniform at day 56 than at baseline.
74%Visible marks

A note from the bench

Why this bottle has four actives instead of fourteen

Most of the serums I've been asked to reformulate had the same problem: a very long ingredient list doing a very short amount of work.

An ingredient only counts if it's present at a level that does something, and still doing it in week twelve. That rules out a lot of what gets printed on the front of a box. It also makes the formula harder to market and easier to trust.

So the brief was narrow. Four actives that have each earned their place, held stable by the two things that keep vitamin C from turning on itself, in a base that doesn't sting. Everything else came out.

What you lose is the pleasure of a long label. What you get is a bottle that behaves the same on the last morning as it did on the first — which is the only way a daily step is worth keeping.

If eight weeks of it does nothing for you, we'd rather refund you than argue.

The short version

Three things vitamin C is actually good at

It slows pigment at the source

Marks form when an enzyme in the skin gets switched on and keeps running. Vitamin C interferes with that step, so less new pigment is made in the first place — which is why it works better as prevention than as a rescue.

It fades what's already there

Existing deposits lighten slowly as the skin renews. Pair that with an ingredient that interrupts pigment being handed to surface cells and you're working both ends of the same process at once.

It needs help staying stable

On its own, vitamin C oxidises quickly once the bottle is opened — you can usually see it go amber. Ferulic acid and vitamin E slow that down, which is the difference between a serum that works for a month and one that works for three.

What's in the bottle

Six ingredients, each with a job

Tone

Vitamin C + ferulic acid

The working pair. One does the brightening, the other keeps it from oxidising before it gets the chance.

Defence

Vitamin E

Antioxidant cover against the dullness that comes from daily exposure, and a second stabiliser in the blend.

Evenness

Niacinamide

Interrupts pigment being passed up to the surface, and supports the barrier while it does it.

Comfort

Hyaluronic acid

Holds water where it's useful so skin looks plumper without anything sitting on top of it.

Texture

Peptide blend

The slow one. Works on the look of fine lines and firmness over months rather than weeks.

Base

Squalane carrier

A light, non-greasy base that carries the actives in and keeps the whole thing wearable under SPF.

What people say in their own words

D. LaurentVerified · 3 months in

Bought it for the marks. Stayed for the fact that my skin stopped freaking out every time the weather changed.

J. OkaforVerified · 7 weeks in

I've used four of these. This is the first one that hadn't gone brown by the time I got to the bottom of the bottle.

S. HaddadVerified · 5 months in

Honestly took until week six before I could see it in photos. Glad I didn't give up at week three.

R. BianchiVerified · 2 months in

No smell, no sting, doesn't pill under sunscreen. That's the whole review.

A. MbekiVerified · 4 months in

My routine went from six steps to three and my skin is better for it. Wasn't expecting that trade.

K. TranVerified · 10 weeks in

Started the three-bottle set so I wouldn't be tempted to quit early. Good decision, as it turns out.

The promise

Use it for 90 mornings. If nothing changes, we'll refund it.

Skin is slow and stubborn, and not every formula suits every face. Run it properly for three months — that's long enough for a full renewal cycle and then some. If you can't see a difference, write to us and take your money back. Keep the bottle; we're not going to ask you to post it.

Questions worth asking

The ones that come up most, answered without the marketing voice.

How long before I see anything?

Comfort and hydration change within a few days. Tone takes longer — most people need six to eight weeks of daily use before the difference shows up in a photograph rather than just in the mirror on a good day.

Who is this for?

Skin that looks flat, uneven or marked — from sun, from old breakouts, from time. It is a maintenance step, not a treatment for anything a clinician should be looking at.

How do I use it?

Two or three drops on clean, dry skin in the morning. Press it in, avoid the eye area, then sunscreen on top. That's the whole routine.

My skin is sensitive. Will it sting?

Vitamin C is an active, so patch test first and start every other morning if you're reactive. Build up as your skin settles. If it keeps stinging after a week, it isn't the right product for you — take the refund.

Do I still need sunscreen?

Yes, and it matters more here than usual. Sun exposure darkens the marks you're trying to fade, so SPF is what protects the progress rather than an optional extra.

Can I use it with retinol or acids?

Yes — keep this one in the morning and the others at night. Using everything at once is the fastest way to irritate your barrier and lose a month.

What happens if it doesn't work?

Write to us any time in the first 90 days and we refund the order. You don't need to return the bottle or explain yourself.
